The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are going to be 4.7 and 5.5 in screen sizes, respectively. Other than that, the differences are minimal. Both will support the new RetinaHD display, with up to 1 million more pixels being present on the screen compared to the previous generation iPhone. Both models both have the next-generation A8 chip, which has 50% less power consumption and up to 100 times faster than the original iPhone. Both devices also come with a next-generation M8 motion coprocessor which can now estimate distance and elevation changes with a new barometer. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus also support a new camera architecture with a brand-new 8MP sensor, along with a circular true tone flash instead of the pill-shaped of previous generation. The screen is also said to be an improved revision of the Gorilla Glass, being even more resistant to scratches and a bit more durable on drops.
Apple is said the iOS 8 has better auto focus for both phones, with the Plus version having an optical stabilization exclusiveto it. Both versions shoot slow motion video at 240 FPS, an increase from the 120 FPS found in the iPhone 5S. Also new to the 6 is the ability to shoot HDR video and an upgraded front facing camera that can now shoot 720p video/pictures. Both models will feature up to 128GB of storage, and can be purchased in silver, space grey, or gold colors.
